Diamond tools are widely used in various industries, for example, construction industry, automotive industry, and engineering ceramics industry. After decades of development, China’s diamond tool industry has grown into a big one. Several hundred product varieties are formed, including diamond blades, diamond grinding wheels, diamond core bits, diamond wire saws, diamond gang saws, etc. Its manufacture technologies are now also becoming more and more advanced.
According to the recent news on China Metal Cutting Tool Engineering Association’s website (www.ccta.net.cn), in 2007, China’s machinery industry production value is 6000 billion RMB (about 850 billion USD), in which machine tool industry production value is 260 billion RMB (about 36.8 billion USD) and is 30%–35% higher than in 2006.
According to the report of China Stock Network (www.cnstock.com), Mr. Wu Xichun, a consultant of China Iron and Steel Industry Association and the former vice minister of metallurgical industry ministry of China, recently said that the steel prices in China are currently at the high level in the world.
