There are many quality grades for almost each kind of tool products made in China. For the purpose of simplicity, we roughly put them into six grades. The six grades are: excellent, high, above medium, medium, below medium, low.
Our products are mainly in the middle four grades–from the “high” to the “below medium”. All our products’ quality is reliable. Different grade products are available to meet different application requirements. If being used properly, our products even in “below medium” grade can work well. For example, our “below medium” grade sintered diamond blades and HSS twist drill bits have large market demands.
Below are our definitions for the six grades:
Excellent
This grade is for the high quality products of the international famous brand (e.g. Sandvik, Kennametal) and a few especially high quality products of Chinese famous brand.
High
Materials and/or manufacture technologies used for the products in this grade are very good. For example, for diamond tools, all their quality aspects* are very good, and they can fit special application requirements; for HSS twist drill bits, HSS materials used in them are very good, e.g., M35, or the material is M2 or W9Mo3Cr4V (Chinese HSS grade, commonly called 9341 in China), but the drill bits are solid ground.
Above Medium
Materials and/or manufacture technologies used for the products in this grade are good. For example, for diamond tools, they can well satisfy most of the application requirements, but one or some of their quality aspects* are lower than the “High” grade products’; for HSS twist drill bits, HSS material used in them is M2 or W9Mo3Cr4V (9341), and the drill bits can drill most kinds of the steel.
Medium
Materials and/or manufacture technologies used for the products in this grade are ordinary. For example, for diamond tools, they can satisfy general application requirements, but one or some of their quality aspects* are lower than the “Above Medium” grade products’; for HSS twist drill bits, HSS material used in them is W4Mo3Cr4VSi (Chinese HSS grade, commonly called 4341 in China), and the drill bits can drill steel of common hardness well.
Below Medium
Materials and/or manufacture technologies used for the products in this grade are not so good. For example, for diamond tools, they can fit some application requirements which are not high, and one or some of their quality aspects* are lower than the “Medium” grade products’; for HSS twist drill bits, HSS material used in them is W4Mo2Cr4VSi (Chinese HSS grade, commonly called 4241 in China) or W2MoCr4VSi (Chinese HSS grade, commonly called F4341 in China), and the drill bits can drill steel of common hardness, but their service life may not be very long. Diamond tools and HSS twist drill bits in this grade are very popular in many countries and areas for their cheap prices.
Low
Materials and/or manufacture technologies used for the products in this grade are not good, and their qualities are not stable. We do not deal in this grade products.
* For the “quality aspects” of diamond tools, we mean the diamond quality, diamond concentration, bond materials, body materials, production equipments and technologies (for example, the different laser welding machines and technologies), etc. The quality of diamond tools is mainly determined by these aspects. One or some of these aspects’ variations will cause the quality grade to increase or decrease.
